Healthworks is a long-established community health charity helping people in Newcastle and across the North East live longer, healthier and happier lives through preventative health programmes and interventions, community wellbeing services, lifestyle support, research projects and accessible health information.

Since 1995, we have supported people of all ages to live longer, healthier and happier lives, with a particular focus on those facing challenges such as low income, unemployment and poor housing.

Celebrating Three Decades of Healthworks

From our beginnings as a small local health project in the west of Newcastle, to becoming a regional charity supporting thousands of people each year, Healthworks has always been driven by one purpose – to help people and communities improve their health and wellbeing.

Over three decades, we’ve expanded our reach, developed innovative services, and built lasting partnerships across the North East – supporting people of all ages to live healthier, happier lives.
